Local farmers, artists and vendors will again be the focus of the Saturday Morning Market running June 8 to August 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Montesano’s Fleet Park. The 265-hectare private reserve is the second-largest private park in Gauteng and includes portions of the Modderfontein Spruit, a number of dams, grassland and hills. Each weekend will see new vendors and artists at the market, giving vendors and shoppers eight opportunities over the course of two months to head to the park and see what their community has to offer. The market started in Montesano last year, and event organizer Angie Brown said that it had been a dream of hers for the past decade. “It’s a great way to support our local community vendors and the opportunity to meet your neighbors and community members,” Brown said.
